Executives and analysts said Saturday that an interim chair to oversee vague momentum is now part of market practice, after quarterly updates contained repeated references to traction, directionality, and a feeling near the elevators.
The interim chair will supervise movement that lacks a destination but has demonstrated executive confidence.
"Momentum is too important to leave unsupervised simply because no one can say what it is doing," said Sella Voss, lead independent director. "This role gives vagueness the governance structure it deserves."
How It Works
All departments must file weekly momentum sightings, including speed, tone, and whether the sensation seemed billable.
Public Response
Analysts welcomed the appointment, noting that companies often underinvest in the middle distance between drift and strategy.
What Happens Next
The board expects to name a permanent chair once the momentum either arrives somewhere or begins requesting equity.
