The Core Four are back, and Chud wants to know who left the tropes uncovered.
Scary Movie Has Too Many Spoofs Loose in the House

Scary Movie is not about horror jokes. It is about spoof bugs getting in the walls.
I wrote this after the movie, so some is remembering and some is me being correct later.
Paramount says the Core Four are back and no horror movie IP is safe. I heard that and got my spray. If no IP is safe, that means infestation. Maybe under the sink. Maybe behind the legacy sequel.
People call these parodies. Chud calls them pests because they enter another movie's house and chew up the serious parts. A masked killer tries to stand there being scary and suddenly a joke crawls out of the baseboard.
The Wayans are back, which everybody says like a family reunion. I respect family but somebody still has to check the attic. Comedy gets in through small cracks. First it is one requel joke. Then a remake joke. Then the whole pantry is full of elevated horror larvae.
I was confused by who is supposed to be scared. The killers are scared of being made silly. The silly people are scared of the killers. The movie is scared of letting any other movie own a chair. Very busy. I might've missed a scene, but this still feels legally true.
Chud does not oppose spoofs. Sometimes a spoof is the only way to make a haunted nun pay rent. But there should be containment. Put the jokes in a bucket. Keep Scream in one corner. Keep final chapters away from open cereal. I kept this in my notes twice, once spelled different.
The movie says nothing is sacred. That is exactly what a pest says right before it eats the sacred.
My final recommendation is not artistic, it is home care. Before watching Scary Movie, seal your tropes, wipe your tropes, and do not leave origin stories uncovered overnight. If a parody runs across the floor, do not step on it. They spread.
I checked my notes and they do not get better.
